Hi Dave
Apologies for the length of this query but I would relly appreciate your honest opionion.
One pieces advice I have seen on a couple of web sites is to ask your clinic for a copy of the pre and post wavefront scans, saying that good quality clinics would be happy to oblige. While I personnaly would not be able to interpret the information I thought that from a Customers perspective this is the only document that provides a technical assessment of what the surgeon / equipment had actually done. So if a clinic truly had the conviction of its marketing assertions then it would have no issues with providing a copy of the wavefront scans . I had more or less decided on my clinic of choice when you guessed it, in answer to a request for a copy of the scans they stated that they do not provide copies and would not elaborate further as to their refusal.
My view is that if a mechanic can not give me a full breakdown of the work he has undertaken even if the individual items are gibberish to me then I would be inclined to think I that my vehicle repair bill included parts I had not received and a quality of service below what I had paid for.
Given that you can legally obtain a copy of the scans under the data protection act can you suggest any reasons why a big UK clinic would blankly refuse to willingly provide copies of scan data.
Finally should I be bothered by this refusal at all, it was a throw away question after all, its only because I received a refusal that a small warning light has started to glow.
Many Thanks

Hi Darren
Usually you can have treatment very soon after consultation - 48 hours allows time for the dilating drops to have fully worn off, although often shorter than that. Seems your prescription is now stable so that’s one box ticked. The price based on your Rx for wavefront Z-LASIK would be £1297 per eye.
Please let me know if you have any more questions. If you would like to get booked in, please call us on 0845 5000 500.
With best regards, Dave

Hi Dave

I've been looking at laser eye surgery for a while now and from what laser vision focus are offering the best deal, but I was wondering what is the turn around time from consultation to actual surgery as I plan to get laser eye surgery asap after my uni exams (May 21st) and before i start my job (7th June).

I was also wondering what price range I would be looking at due to the website saying "from £997".

I'm 21 and I've worn the same glasses with no degradation for the past two years and my prescription is:

sph -2.50 cyl -0.75 axis x180
BC 8.6 DIA 14.2

I'm short sighted and have astigmatism.

Kind Regards
