The Daily Mail featured a half page article this week on the new Z LASIK surgery procedure that took place at FOCUS Laser Vision (www.focusclinics.com) on January 18th. Z LASIK uses a brand new technology to create a corneal flap in the first part of the LASIK laser eye surgery procedure. The new system from Swiss company Ziemer uses a different principle to create much lower energy pulses at 20 times the speed of older technology lasers from Intralase in the US, commonly used in other UK clinics.
